Consumer Federation of California Endorses Sam Liccardo for Congress

Liccardo “Much Stronger on Consumer Protection Issues”

SAN JOSE, CA — Today, former San Jose Sam Liccardo announced his endorsement from the Consumer Federation of California. This further bolsters Liccardo after recent public polling shows him with a +17% lead on an initial ballot.

“Sam Liccardo will be much stronger on consumer protection issues than his opponent, who wouldn’t even meet with CFC,” the Federation said. “Accordingly CFC is pleased to endorse his candidacy for US Congress to replace retiring Anna Eshoo. Sam understands consumer issues and will have an open mind when it comes to important consumer protection public policy choices facing the US Congress.”

“I’m honored to have the support of the Consumer Federation of California,” Licardo said. “Too many of our hard-working families pay a steep price for corporate fraud, unsafe products, and consumer exploitation.  In Congress, I’ll fight for our residents to lower costs and demand accountability.”

Liccardo is endorsed by 20 current and former members of Congress and 12 current and former state elected officials.
