AAPI Leaders Endorse Sam Liccardo for Congress

Liccardo Campaign Launches First Coalition Group

SAN JOSE, CA — Today, prominent AAPI leaders in the Bay Area announced their endorsement of Sam Liccardo for Congress, as part of a launch of an AAPI coalition supporting the Liccardo campaign. This comes on the heels of recent polling showing Liccardo with an +11% lead on an uninformed ballot, and the news that he outraised his opponent nearly 3:1 in Q2. 

The group will be spearheaded by AAPI current and former elected officials, and community leaders from across the region. 

The coalition is organizing meet-and-greets across the district, and advising the campaign on key outreach efforts.

“I’m honored to be supported by such a diverse coalition of elected leaders,” Liccardo said. “I’ve learned from each of these leaders through our work together, and am proud of the partnerships we have built to better the lives of the members of our communities. I look forward to working with each of them in Congress.”

This latest round of endorsements builds on Liccardo’s strong base of support, which includes over a dozen current members of Congress, the Sierra Club, 350 Bay Area Action, the New Democrat Coalition, CHC BOLD PAC, NorCal Carpenters Union, Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA), Defend the Vote, California High School Democrats, Latino Victory Fund and over 100 local elected officials.
