Evan Low’s Colleagues Endorse Sam Liccardo

Those That Know Low Best Pick Liccardo

SAN JOSE, CA — Today, eight of Assemblymember Evan Low’s current and former Assembly colleagues announced their endorsement of Sam Liccardo. This further bolsters Liccardo after polling shows Liccardo with a +17% lead on an uninformed ballot.

Each current and former Assemblymember has worked with Low over his decade-long tenure in Sacramento. They understand his record, and how he legislates. They all believe Liccardo is a stronger choice for California voters. Despite going to work each day with 79 colleagues in the California Assembly,  Low has only persuaded two of those 79 Assemblymembers to endorse his effort to represent California in Congress.

Liccardo has more endorsements from current and former Assembly members who have served with Low, than Low does himself.

“I’ve known Sam Liccardo for almost twenty years, and I know he will be an excellent Congressman for our community,” Assemblymember Marc Berman said. “He is principled, he is tireless, and he is a policy wonk – which is what this district demands from its elected officials. Whether it’s standing up to big oil, lowering costs, or reducing homelessness, Sam has a proven track record and a plan to get it done. I know this district well, and I believe Sam Liccardo is the clear choice in this race.”

“I’ve worked with both Sam Liccardo and Evan Low,” former Assemblymember Kansen Chu said. “I am wholeheartedly supporting Sam Liccardo. Sam has increased our police force, reduced homelessness, and he has a real plan to make our community better. I urge all who can to support Sam Liccardo for Congress.”

“I’m honored to have the support of these incredible legislators,” Liccardo said. “They’ve helped lead our state through difficult times, and I look forward to working with them in Congress.”
